The Council and Management Team at the Eastbourne Downs Golf Club sincerely hope that members, visitors and green fee players fully enjoy their golf here at the EDGC, in conditions that are as safe as reasonably possible

By the very nature of the game of golf, we believe that it is not possible to completely eradicate the risk of damage or injury, but every effort has been made to minimise the risks and we also ask everyone to read through our Health & Safety policy before they go out on to the course

Women in Golf

The R&A launched the Women in Golf Charter in May 2018, supported by England Golf and other organisations from across the industry, with the purpose:

* To encourage more women and girls to play the game and join clubs
* To inspire more families to enjoy golf as a group leisure activity
* To open up more opportunities for women to work within the golf industry

We are proud that England Golf and the R&A have certified Eastbourne Downs Golf Club as a registered signatory of the Women in Golf Charter, after we submitted the detailed document (linked below) to them outlining our commitment to continuing to build a culture that values women’s involvement at our friendly golf club
